What Got All This Started For This Single Dad…
I thought being a single dad was not an “optimum” solution. Then I began to believe that there is no “optimum” solution.
The skills and choices that all parents need and want are universal. That is true, no matter what your parenting situation is. Still, I created this page to discuss some of the unique challenges of being a single parent. More specifically, I try to discuss what it is to be a single dad.
As with everything in life, you try to make the best of the situation. I have been a parent for over nine years and have been a single dad for a little over four years. In that time, I have learned a great deal about:
- Parenting tips and tricks
- Great products for kids
- Destinations and events
- Dealing with an ex
- Creating a joyful and loving environment while maintaining a sense of order, responsibility, and continual learning when you are a single dad
And, of course, a lot more than that since parenting is a never-ending list of to-dos and what-ifs.
So What Does This Blog Offer?
This is not meant to be more than my two cents on the subject. I am just like you in that I succeed, and I fail. Sometimes I am frustrated by not knowing the difference!! The last couple of pandemic years has tested that idea. I strive to keep a level head and a loving heart through it all. I try to give my kids the most engaged, rewarding, and best life possible as a single dad.
